A Viral World Of False Security

Running Windows? Being a good computing citizen by running a anti-virus package? Great! But, really, are you safe? Probably not. It looks like the popular anti-virus packages on the market are not able to catch 80% of the malware out there. Is it because they are bad packages? Nope. It is because malware software writers are testing their creations against the most popular packages. So, what is a computing person supposed to do? Diversify? Try a not so popular anti-virus package. Diversify more? Switch to using a Mac. Get really crazy? Install some distro of Linux on your box.
