Humans Rule, Algorithms Drool

The MyWeb 2.0 group keeps improving MyWeb 2.0 Beta. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out. MyWeb 2.0 is a social search application. What does that mean? It means that if you search for something and find it interesting, you "save" it to your MyWeb 2.0. If I am linked to you, then I can see what you're searching for. Well, that part sounds kind of boring -- queue cheezy As-Seen-On-TV voice: But, there's more! If you have enough cool contacts in your list that have a similar taste as yours, then web search is much better than anything a computer algorithm can possible get you. See, the beauty of MyWeb 2.0 is that when you search, results from your contacts will show up above the generic results that get returned by the search algorithm. This brings the very best and most relevant results to the top of the list -- and, I can attest to the usefulness of this. I don't have to work so hard at finding things because someone else has already found the best page for what I am searching for and has saved it to their MyWeb. Human filtered results are so much better than computer filtered results. Hell, this concept works for a lot of things. JR can tell you about his horrible experience with tax software and the human that saved him $50,000. So, who are you going to trust? Some algorithm or some human? The MyWeb team has recently upgraded the system to make it easier to add contacts and to share links, so this is a great time for you to give it a try. And if you're into tech stuff, then lets get linked so that we can share search results.
