PSP Firmware 2.5 Is Out

october 13, 2005

Sony just released PSP Firmware 2.5. If you are doing homebrew stuff (or if you are ripping off software publishers), then you'll probably want to stay away from the upgrade. The biggest change is the addition of support for Sony's Location Free TV. That is a slick idea to turn the PSP into a portable TV terminal. I like it a lot. The other feature added, which I think should have been in the original firmware is the ability for the PSP to sync with an Internet time server. Nice!
