Mac OS X Users Watch Out

may 18, 2004

Take time to read this warning about a security flaw that allows attackers to execute any abitrary command on your Mac. This flaw happens with any webbrowser running on Mac OS X (Safari, Mozilla, Camino, IE, etc). I hope Apple fixes this flaw soon. To fix it, download MoreInternet and change the help: protocol helper to anything but the Help Viewer (like Chess or somthing). That should put a bandaide on this flaw for the time being. If you have fixed the flaw, us this page to test that it is fixed. If it is truly fixed then whatever application you substituted for the Help Viewer will launch. Hurry up Apple and fix this flaw though.
